The Rock Island Arsenal Family Child Care (FCC) program offers parents the option of quality childcare in a home like setting provided by some of the most experienced and best trained providers in the Quad City area. FCC homes are located both on post and in the surrounding communities, and provide care for children four weeks to twelve years of age.
Providers can be flexible in their hours to accommodate the needs of the families in the program, and can be designated as a particular type of home according to the ages and types of children they care for.
Providers must pass extensive background checks and complete Department of Army certification training. All providers must be registered or licensed by the state in which they live, and are subject to inspections by both the state and Rock Island Arsenal FCC staff.
