PATRONAGE ELIGIBILITY:
You are eligible to patronize the RIA Community Fitness Center if you are:

*Active duty military or a family member.

*Member of the RC or a family member , which includes Ready Reserve, National Guard and ROTC cadet.

*Delayed Entry recruit.

*Retired military or a family member.

*Veteran with 100% service-connected disability, honorably discharged.

*DOD APF/NAF civilian employee, retired DOD civilian or a family member.

*DOD contract personnel or technical representative who works full time on the installation.

*Non-DOD federal employee working on the installation.

*From any other category identified in Army Regulation 215-1, (contact the center for clarification).

Family members are established as in accordance with Army Regulation 640-2 as being a lawful spouse...children under the age of 21 and unmarried...children over the age of 21 to the age of 23 who are enrolled full-time in an institution of higher learning as long as they remain unmarried and dependent upon the sponsor for over 50% of their support.

USAGE POLICIES:
As a family member, children and youth (15 years old and under) must be actively participating in the same activity and under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian per AR 215-1. 

Children ages 8 and under are only permitted in the Fitness Center between the hours of 1830-2100, Monday-Friday, and 1100-1600 on weekends and under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian. 

Children 12 years old and under are not authorized in the cardiovascular, strength, sauna, or steam rooms  at any time per AR 215-1.

Youth 13 – 15 may use the weight room, cardio rooms, and cardio equipment in the gymnasium if they are directly supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

Hourly childcare can be prearranged for children ages 4 weeks - 12 years.  Call 782-6793.

FREE SERVICES:
The center entitles you to use the following free basic center services:  Use of locker rooms, running track, weight room, basketball court areas, climbing wall, circuit room,  cardio room and racquetball courts.

Road guard vests must be worn when running or walking outside when headlights are required.  They are available to be checked out at the front desk and must be returned the same day.

We offer weight room orientation classes by appointment - just ask at the front desk.

There are daily-use lockers at no fee (bring your own lock.)  Use of locker rooms also includes showers, dry sauna and steam room.

Class Descriptions:

Total Body Conditioning
Experience a challenging and dynamic cardiovascular and strength/CORE training workout using body bars, resist-a-balls, hand weights and medicine balls.   Workouts vary using aerobic, floor routines, jump ropes, step and circuit / interval training. The instructor challenges the beginner as well as the "seasoned" athlete.
Fees:
Civ - $19 (6 weeks)
Military - $13 (6 weeks)
Drop in fee - Civ $2 / AD Mil $2

Spinning®
The ultimate indoor cycling experience!  This simulated bike "adventure" works the entire body in a group environment set to high-energy music and instructor's guidance.   Classes are limited in size so register early.  Water bottles are required and cycling shorts are recommended. This class is a great cross training program for other sports and for the outdoor cyclist as well.   Come travel the "journey!"

Fees:
Civ - $25 (6 weeks)
Military - $20 (6 weeks)

Yoga (Iyengar style)
The yoga class begins with a few minutes of relaxation, breathing and warm-up stretches.   The sessions ends in stillness and peace.  The prolonged benefits of a focused and quiet mind are unique to each student.  Learn meditation, gentle stretching, focus on breath and body awareness; easy to fairly challenging yoga postures.  Basic yogic principles, guided relaxations.  Learn to focus on balancing and releasing tension in the physical body.  Please pay at the front desk.  Cash and checks accepted.  Please make checks out to the instructor.
Fees: 
All participants pay $8 per class.  Yoga is a continuous class

Strength Conditioning
A non-aerobic class focusing on strength, core training and conditioning of all muscle groups and is designed for all fitness levels.  Lightweight resistance equipment such as resist-a-balls, weights, and Xertubes are used.

Rowing
Rowing is a group fitness program that gives a complete body strength training with aerobic and anaerobic in one workout.  Backed by Concept2, the program is dynamic, fun and is student focused;  designed to empower the participants.  Limited equipment, so register early!

Military - $16 (6 weeks)

Indoor Tanning Booth and Bed

Tanning Fees are as follows:

All tanning is non-refundable.  Limited to one visit per 24 hours.  All packages are activated on the first tanning visit.   Packages may not be shared.  Tanning goggles are required for your safety.

Children ages 15 and under may not tan.  Children ages 16-17 may not tan unless a parent of legal guardian signs the History and Consent form.   The form must be signed and witnessed by an operator of the fitness center.

PHOTO ID CARDS:
Everyone must show a valid ID card to gain access in the Fitness Center at each visit. Authorized users who do not possess a valid ID card compatible with our computers must be issued a photo MWR usage card.

GUEST POLICY:
Guest fee is $3.00 per visit (Limit: Two guests per authorized patron). A guest must be accompanied by an authorized patron and MUST LEAVE with the authorized patron. Only five guests are allowed in the Fitness Center at any given time.

SPORTS COMPLEX RENTALS:

Looking for a place to have your leagues, tournaments, picnics, or just have fun?  The Sports complex is available to rent to Arsenal employees, retirees, and the general public April - October.  There are two softball fields, volleyball courts, and soccer fields.  Please call 309 782-5922 for pricing and more information.
